Q1. What are the programs at Unitedworld?
Two-year Full Time Programs
- PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management)
- PGPM – Financial Services
One-year Full Time Program (for professionals with minimum 3 years experience)

Q2. Should I opt for PGPM or PGPM – Financial Services?
Since there is the option of choosing multiple checkboxes in the application form, candidates are urged to opt for both PGPM as well as PGPM - Financial Services, unless you are absolutely sure that you want to pursue a career in finance. It is to be kept in mind that the program in Finance provides more in-depth exposure to pure finance – whereas, PGPM covers all aspects of general management including finance.
Q3. Do I need a laptop while studying at USB ?
Unitedworld is the first B-School in India with Intelligent Campus, a web-enabled education enterprise solutions, which is the backbone for management of entire academic operations. The campuses will be wi-fi & technologically advanced – the entire academic delivery system will run with this virtual system where daily progress of every student can be observed 24X7.
Therefore, laptop for every student is a mandatory academic requirement – which is provided to all students free of cost.
Q4.What is the selection criterion?
Unitedworld follows a matrix based system to identify the right candidate.
Basic selection (Assessment of social and demographic profile & corporate exposure)
Step I: Score/Percentile of GMAT/ CAT/ XAT / MAT or other equivalent national entrance tests.
Step II:Academic performance, non academic achievements, and extra-curricular activities
Step III: Statement of purpose and Corporate Recommendations (applicable for PGPM - Business Strategy)
Advanced selection (People skills, Ability to handle pressure & Market readiness)
Step IV: Presentation & Group Test
Step V: Psychometric Assessment & Personal Interview
Q5. How to apply to Unitedworld?
- Students can apply online or download application form from www.unitedworld.in
- Application kits are also available at Unitedworld Admissions office & campuses at Kolkata, Mumbai & Ahmedabad.
- Students may also collect application kits from leading CAT coaching centers.
Q6. What is the Tuition fee?
PGPM & PGPM – Financial Services
- Rs. 5,50,000 (For Foundation & Advanced modules) across all Campuses except Mumbai
- Rs. 6,00,000 (For Foundation & Advanced modules) at Mumbai.
This includes
• a month long & compulsory 'International Business Camp' (IBC) at Singapore
• a Laptop.
Q7. What is the cut off ?
A comprehensive analysis of the entire academic & other profile of the student is done - consitsting of results of Secondary examination, High School examination, Graduation, extra-curricular activities, performance in GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT, Post-graduation, work experience etc. The best of all the abovementioned parameters are taken into consideration and due weightage is given to each of them – therefore, no definite percentile cut-off can be communicated at the time of application. It is hence always advisable for candidates to apply, irrespective of their marks in order to keep their options open and maximize their chances of getting selected for the program.
Q8. Who can apply?
Any candidate who is a graduate or a final year student and has appeared for GMAT / CAT / XAT / MAT / other recognized state-level examinations is eligible to apply to Unitedworld School of Business for PGPM & PGPM - Financial Services. A minimum of 3 years corporate experience is however mandatory for applying for PGPM – Business Strategy. Salient points:
- Graduation from an UGC Recognized University.
- Students representing State / University at national level competitions will get preference.
- Good scores in GMAT / CAT / XAT / MAT / other recognized state-level examinations will get preference in primary selection.
- Final year students may apply for provisional admissions.
- Minimum 3 years of corporate exposure is mandatory for one-year PGPM program.

Q3 .What is Intelligent Campus?
Intelligent Campus is a truly web-enabled education ERP system - where students, professors and management remain engaged with one another in a virtual platform. Students can manage projects, groupwork and scheduling. Professors can track individual student’s growth through pictorial charts and compare with their development in other subjects.In this virtual campus, students can access library, old class notes or get help from faculties remotely, even when they are not in the same city. Q4.What is IBC/ International Business Camp?
International Business Camp (IBC) is a mandatory part of the PGPM curriculum. During this month long ‘International Business dissertation’ at Singapore campus of Unitedworld, students research on growth opportunities of Indian products and services in the SE Asian countries and also get trained under eminent faculties of UK and Singapore B-Schools. This camp is a compulsory part of the Term IV academic curriculum of the PGPM.
Q5 .What is Live Content Engine?
Unitedworld’s content research team blends ‘live market data’ with ‘management fundamentals’ seamlessly through this content engine wherein relevant market information is collected from various sources and fed into the curriculum to improve it’s industry relevance.

Q1. Who will lead Placement activities of Unitedworld?
The Placement division of Unitedworld is headed by Mr. Shim Young Sup, former CEO & MD of LG Life-Sciences & former Country Head, LG chemicals. He is a globally networked professional with wide corporate linkage.
Q2. What kind of placements opportunities can I expect at Unitedworld?
The core team of Unitedworld nurtures a global network of successful Indians engaged in MNCs or Ivy League Business Schools across the world. All senior executives engaged with Unitedworld are from premier Business Schools and have been closely working with Brand associates for the program.
Unitedworld has created a unique three-tier structure for fostering corporate relationships - in a pursuit to create exciting career opportunities for students.
