PGPM - Business Strategy

Overview

The one-year Post Graduate Program in Strategic Management (PGPSM) lays the foundation for conceptual and analytical reasoning and gives the students an insight into the dynamics of the corporate world. Aided by the latest technology, a scientifically designed curriculum, and continuous corporate interaction, our students are transformed from being first class management students into astute thought leaders.

Pedagogy

Comprehensive, Challenging and having global perspective, this one -year full time program in Strategic Management aims to convert an experienced professional into a future ready champion of strategic Management. Covering a wide spectrum through globally developed curriculum, case analysis and live projects, this program is specially designed for professionals with at least 3 years of work experience. This program is specially designed to minimize the opportunity cost of management education in terms of both time and money, without sacrificing on quality, content and academic rigour. This makes its value proposition unique.

Program Structure

After the first four terms of core courses (20 core courses in total), students can opt for one of the three areas of concentration and pursue the remaining 4 terms in that area of concentration. It gives the student an opportunity of industry-linked critical insight in his area of focus. The concentration areas are:

International Student Exchange

Student exchange program with universities and institutions overseas promote a greater understanding of the multiple perspectives on cross-cultural managerial issues and challenges. These issues are global in nature and enhance the competencies of students so that they are able to work in an increasingly interdependent world. These exchange programs provide a unique opportunity to the students to enhance their global academic experience and widen their horizons. Unitedworld is in the process of formalizing student exchange arrangements with Universities and Business Schools from Singapore, United Kingdom & United States. Details of such opportunities will be made available to students when they join Unitedworld.

Evaluation

Unitedworld believes in a system of continuous evaluation. Throughout the duration of the program, the student will be tested on his / her ability to understand concepts, learn techniques and apply them to problems in the real world. At each stage of the course, the student would be in a position to assess his / her performance and take measures to make improvement. In each course, a student is thus awarded a letter grade only. The weighted average for all courses taken by a student in the program is called the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

Recognition

On successful completion of the program, a student will be awarded PGPM - Business Strategy.

Corporate exposure

Each PGPM Business Strategy student will conduct workshops in their respective domains. This group activity will allow executives from different sectors to share their domain knowledge and gain cross functional and cross domain expertise.
