National Conference on Human Rights: Issues, Perspectives and Realities

National Conference on Human Rights (Issues, Perspectives and Realities) was held at Unitedworld School of Law on 22nd July 2017. The ceremony Inaugurated with prayer followed by Lamp Lighting in which all the Guest of Honors, dignitaries and faculty members were invited on the stage. The conference was graced by the presence of many personalities from the world of Law. The morning session had inauguration speeches from Dr. Subir K. Bhatnagar, Dean of B. B. Ambedkar (Central) University and Dr. Arvind Jasrotiya, Head and Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Jammu. In the next two consecutive sessions, students presented their research papers on previously selected themes based on Human Rights. The Guest of Honors who were also acting as the judges for these sessions were thoroughly impressed by the inventiveness of the students and also by the hard work they put into their researches. This was followed by the valedictory session wherein two more Guest of Honors Dr. Vijaylakshmi Brara, Associate Professor of Sociology, Centre for Manipur studies, Manipur University and Dr. Michael Pittaro, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the American Military University, West Virginia presented their thoughts on various aspects of jurisprudence. The conference was concluded by our respected faculty member Dr. Debarati Haldar with a vote thanks. Lastly, the students were awarded certificates as a token of appreciation.
