VC & Entrepreneurship cell
Many management students aspire to become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses. Conventional B-School system can't provide them the necessary inputs in a structured fashion.
Setting up a successful venture needs a lot of preparation and assistance in terms of business plan, revenue plan, infrastructure support, fund raising, HR policies, statutory compliances etc. Mostly because of these hurdles, India produces very few entrepreneurs from B-School campuses.
Prominent B-Schools across the world work seriously with potential entrepreneurs with dedicated and well-funded incubation centers. On the contrary, In India, only some of the IIM's, IIT's, ISB and very few others have fully functioning entrepreneurship cells.
Unitedworld wants to take a lead role in this regard by running a full-time 'Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship cell' at all its campuses. Unitedworld has taken a charter to work closely with 'National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN)' in this regard. This cell will work as the catalyst for students who wish to follow the footsteps of successful entrepreneurs. Apart from NEN, the Industry Advisory Council of Unitedworld has a number of globally reputed entrepreneurs to guide us in this direction and create networks with potential private equity players and seed fund providers. It will also conducts two 'Business Plan' competitions at campus every calendar year - one for internal students and another open to external participation.
